The DR15S-M30E-2UPN8X2-H1141 radar sensor by Turck Banner is designed for object and distance detection up to 15 meters, utilizing FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology with an operating frequency between 122 and 123 GHz. A 1 mm resolution, 2 mm repeatability, and a 15° radar cone angle make it ideal for applications requiring precise measurements even in complex environmental conditions.
It features two configurable switching outputs in NO/NC and PNP/NPN modes, and supports IO-Link communication (V1.1, COM2). The sensor is housed in a robust stainless steel (AISI 316) M30 cylindrical body with a PTFE lens, protected by an IP67/IP69K rating for use in harsh industrial environments. Connection is via a 4-pole M12 connector, and dedicated accessories are available, such as steel radar reflectors optimized for detection up to 25 meters.
