The DES cable entry system is the ideal solution for cable management, allowing the passage of terminated cables, pre-wired cables, cables with connectors, and corrugated conduits into electrical panels, electrical equipment, and machinery. Thanks to the splittable grommets, also known as cable entry supports, it is possible to accommodate a high number of cables whose maximum diameter depends on their flexibility. This is made possible by a DetasUltra patent that allows the grommets (also called cable entry supports) to be positioned and slide freely within the frame. This makes it possible, for example, to pass multiple types of terminated and non-terminated cables, corrugated conduits, and more through the same frame. The cable entry frame or strip includes two V2A (SS304) steel screws and two nuts co-molded into the piece, also in steel but with a black dacromet finish. The DES product family is constructed from Polypropylene reinforced with chemically bonded glass fiber, specifically designed for applications requiring high rigidity and mechanical strength even at high temperatures. The chemical bond between Polypropylene and glass fiber ensures high impact resistance, improved mechanical properties, and greater resistance to detergents and chemical agents. The DES 24 consists of two parts that can accommodate 10 small grommets (cable entry supports), or 2 large and 2 small grommets, or various other combinations. Thanks to multi-hole grommets, up to 40 cables can pass through the wall in a very small space. The IP66/NEMA4X protection rating is achieved with every combination of grommets (single, double, quadruple, break-through, large). The system meets UL94V0 self-extinguishing class standards for both the frame and the gray and black grommets.
