The Q3XTBLD-Q8 sensor by Turck Banner is a laser contrast sensor designed for precise short-range detection up to 300 mm. Part of Turck Banner’s Q3X series, it utilizes a red laser beam (655 nm, Class 2) and operates in diffuse mode with background suppression, making it ideal for applications where distinguishing objects against varying backgrounds is critical.
The sensor integrates two digital outputs (PNP and NPN) configurable in NO/NC mode, and features teach buttons and remote configuration, along with a 3-digit LED display that shows detected contrast values in real time. Everything is enclosed in a robust die-cast metal housing with an IP67/IP69K rating, making it suitable for harsh environments subject to frequent washdowns.
