Laser diffuse sensors for detecting minimal object sizes or when the beam passes through an opening. The industry is characterized by numerous processes where it is important to detect not only the presence of an object, but also its relative position or distance from the machine on the conveyor belt. Monitoring object separation or overlap on the conveyor belt can also be critical for subsequent process stages (packaging). To perform these operations with a single sensor, the device must provide both switching and measurement information to the machine control system. We have achieved this goal by developing the new ODT 3C.
The ODT 3C is both a measuring and a switching sensor. This makes it ideal for applications involving both detection and measurement operations. This means that our customers can now perform both of these operations conveniently and effectively with a single sensor.
