The MLD500 T1 is a Type 4 single-beam safety light curtain transmitter from Leuze, with an operating range of 0.5 to 70 meters. It features an M12 connector and includes a range reduction function, offering enhanced safety and flexibility in various industrial applications.
Single-beam safety light curtains, such as the MLD500 T1, are ideal for protecting hazardous points and access areas, as well as preventing collisions. Their compact design and availability in cubic or cylindrical housing versions allow for flexible integration into machine concepts, even with limited mounting space or uneven surfaces.
These devices are available in Type 2 or Type 4 versions, with both external and self-monitoring capabilities, and can be combined with the MSI-TRM monitoring module. Together, they form a Type 4 electrosensitive protective device, compliant with applications up to Performance Level e. Furthermore, the alternating use of red and infrared light variants reduces the risk of mutual interference, ensuring stable operation even in complex environments.
