With the Balluff ultrasonic position sensor BFD 3SAP-19N000-U01-LA2-C30S75, designed for short-stroke hydraulic cylinders, you can directly, continuously, and rapidly monitor workpiece clamping processes.
The sensor emits ultrasound into the hydraulic fluid and provides reliable information on the clamping status, allowing for timely detection of any deviations.
Thanks to continuous monitoring of the entire clamping process, the system enables early identification of pressure fluctuations, defects in the rotation mechanism, or damaged seals, thus allowing for immediate intervention.
Its compact dimensions, configurable standard interfaces, and continuous automatic compensation make the sensor easy to integrate and highly flexible.
Furthermore, in IO-Link mode, the device provides additional diagnostic and process information.
