The BMF 235K-PS-C-2A-SA2-S49-005 (part number BMF00CF) is an inductive magnetic field sensor developed by Balluff for precise and reliable piston position detection in pneumatic cylinders. Part of the BMF range for T-slots, this sensor stands out for its simple and effective mounting, ideal for direct installation into the cylinder slot.
Thanks to its compact and flush-mountable design, it is also perfect for applications with limited space. Balluff offers particularly short versions to ensure flexibility of use in any mechanical configuration.
The sensor operates in contactless mode, accurately detecting the piston position through the cylinder wall, and can be used with cylinders, grippers, and magnets of various intensities, both strong and weak.
The presence of highly visible LEDs allows for quick and safe identification of the switching status, even from a distance, improving operational ergonomics.
For applications in harsh industrial environments, variants with metal housing are available, resistant to weld splatter, sparks, or high currents. Some models are equipped with magnetic field-sensitive electronics, optimized for contexts with strong electromagnetic interference, such as welding lines.
