Magnetostrictive linear position sensors, such as the BTL6-A110-M0500-A1-S115 from Balluff, are used wherever high reliability and precision in position and velocity measurement are required, even for long strokes. Our contactless, absolute measurement systems, featuring all industrial interfaces, are suitable for a wide range of applications.
Even under extreme environmental conditions, they ensure high machine and plant availability, precise and absolute measurement without a reference run, and are wear-free and maintenance-free due to contactless operation. They are insensitive to shocks, vibrations, and contamination, feature a hermetically sealed housing, enable highly dynamic control applications via synchronized measurement data, offer high stability and long service life, are flexible in installation and use, and provide high resolution up to 0.5 µm. Measurement lengths extend up to 7620 mm, and they can simultaneously measure multiple positions and velocities without wear due to contactless operation.
No machine downtime, long service life, easy integration into the system via versatile interfaces – e.g., IO-Link, Profinet, EtherCAT, SSI, and programmable output signals – to invert, configure, and document the measuring range. Three housing variants for flexible and fast mounting based on space and application requirements, free and guided position sensors.
