EK1100 | Cabling and Networking | Beckhoff
The EK1100 is a Beckhoff EtherCAT coupler designed to connect the 100BASE-TX EtherCAT network to ELxxxx series EtherCAT Terminals.
The device converts telegrams from the fieldbus level into E-bus signal representation, allowing for the creation of modular stations consisting of a coupler and I/O terminals automatically detected by the system.
Equipped with 2 RJ45 ports, the EK1100 allows for connection to the EtherCAT network and potential extension to other devices within the same segment.
It supports distances of up to 100 m between stations, transfer rates of 100 Mbit/s, and up to 65,534 EtherCAT terminals, offering flexibility in the implementation of distributed architectures.
The 24 V DC power supply provides energy to the system and the power contacts, with E-bus current available up to 2000 mA.
Panel mounting with an IP20 protection rating, an operating temperature of -25…+60 °C, and CE, UL, ATEX, IECEx, DNV, and cFMus compliance make the EK1100 a reliable solution for integrating EtherCAT terminals into industrial automation systems.
