EL1809 | Cabling and Networking | Beckhoff
EL1809 is an EtherCAT terminal designed by Beckhoff for the acquisition of 16 digital inputs at 24 V DC in industrial automation systems. The module detects binary signals from the field and transmits them with electrical isolation to the higher-level controller, offering a compact solution for managing a high number of digital signals within the control cabinet.
Thanks to the presence of 16 channels in a housing only 12 mm wide, the EL1809 allows for optimized available space and increased connection density. The integrated 3 ms input filter reduces the effects of mechanical contact bounce, contributing to reliable signal reading. Input states are displayed via integrated LEDs, facilitating diagnostics and maintenance operations.
Tool-free direct connection technology for solid conductors simplifies wiring, while DIN rail mounting and an IP20 protection rating allow for integration into automation cabinets. With an operating temperature of -25…+60 °C, electrical isolation up to 500 V, and compliance with international standards such as CE, UL, ATEX, and IECEx, the terminal represents a reliable solution for standard industrial applications and environments with specific requirements.
