EL2809 | Cabling and Networking | Beckhoff
EL2809 is an EtherCAT terminal designed by Beckhoff for managing 16 digital outputs at 24 V DC in industrial automation systems. The module transfers binary control signals from the controller to field-level actuators, with electrical isolation between the E-bus and field voltage, offering a compact solution for distributed output control in control cabinets.
Thanks to its 16 output channels with status indication via LEDs, the EL2809-0015 allows for clear and organized signal management to ohmic and inductive loads. Each channel supports a maximum current of 0.35 A, with a total current up to 4.5 A, while fast switching times enable efficient response in automation applications.
Its compact format, 35 mm DIN rail mounting, and IP20 protection rating facilitate integration into control cabinets. With an operating temperature of -25…+55 °C, electrical isolation up to 500 V, and CE, UKCA, cULus, and EAC compliance, the terminal represents a reliable solution for industrial applications requiring high digital output density.
