This compact smart distance sensor 01500.2-00 from the STEGO brand uses ultrasonic waves and the Time-of-Flight (ToF) measurement principle to determine object distance. It is suitable for numerous applications in distance and level monitoring.
Unlike other distance measurement methods (e.g., laser measurement principle), the DSS 015 also recognizes transparent objects such as glass, films, and liquids and is insensitive to light changes. The IO-Link interface facilitates connection to higher-level control systems (e.g., PLCs).
